We are looking for support for our team! From 1 February 2023 (or the earliest possible date) we are looking for a social pedagogue / social worker (m/f/d) in Halberstadt as parental leave cover in the field of open youth work.
As a recognised provider of independent youth welfare, we are a meeting place for young people and young adults where artistic, cultural, political and informative activities take place. The pedagogical aim is to support individuals and foster the development of their personality, so as to enable young people to lead self-determined lives.
The post covers the following areas:
Counselling young people with personal difficulties, in active cooperation with other providers, social services and authorities. Supervision and organisation of the open youth work area, including activities and in part socio-pedagogical project work in the fields of school café, homework support, application workshop, outdoor education, running adventure sports events, further training, organising and where appropriate running group activities such as outings, games evenings and so on, international afternoons.
Accompanying and advising international visitors and visitor groups. Supervising young people who are completing community service hours.
Your profile
Completed degree as a social pedagogue (m/f/d) or comparable pedagogical qualification. Knowledge and experience in social work with (international) children and young people. Experience in project work. Independent working style. Comprehensive professional and social competence. Good MS Office skills. Reliability, organisational talent and conflict-resolution skills. Creativity, a sense of responsibility and knowledge of administrative procedures. Foreign language skills.
The post comprises 36 hours per week, with the main working time in the afternoon (until 6 pm); pay is based on the TVöD collective agreement (including an annual one-off payment). Annual leave is 30 days.
